GENERATOR

Cheerful lights illuminate the conference room of the Institute. The speaker is climaxing to the last slides of his presentation. In the food prep area, the stand mixer is kneading bread to feed one hundred at the next meal. In the adjacent hydrotherapy department, a patient is receiving treatment. Then, abruptly: everything goes dark. The mixer stops. The water for the hydro treatment shuts off mid stream. The speaker pauses to reengaged his audience in the topic, but this time without power point or microphone.

While it is possible to manage without electricity, things either stop or become much more difficult. Thankfully we have power on our island, but the amperage is weak and brownouts frequently last 12-24 hours. For home and personal life, brownouts are merely inconvenient, but in our lifestyle center, consistent power is much more critical. When a seminar is going on, medical procedures are in progress, or scheduled dental appointments are underway, it is very challenging to loose power!

When we host large events or med-missions where a lot of power is needed, we pray and pray that the power will not drop. So, what could help? How can we avoid these embarrassing and untimely power shortages?

We have calculated that a 33-35KVA generator will more than supply our whole facility, even when operating at full capacity. Every medical facility and large business in the Philippines has a back up generator, but currently we do not. Our estimates place the cost of such a generator between $8,000 – $9,000. We welcome your assistance in helping our services to remain stable even when the local power supply is not. Thank you
