CHURCH BUILDING PROJECT

I have to be honest with you when I say that I have never seen so many half completed and neglected churches as I have witnessed in this country. Yet there are some denominations that put millions of pesos into their church buildings and they are quite beautiful.

We know that God’s true church is made up of people and not buildings, but often times it sure does help for His people to have a decent structure to worship in. Over the past ten years PAMAS have gone from two churches to over 13! Bambo, wood and concrete, each one is different, but all of them are special and appreciated by the members, but when we visit it’s hard to overlook the needs of each one. Some need a pastoral house, others siding, roofing repairs and our church in Malulunan doesn’t even have trusses to install a roof on or finished walls to paint.

Thanks to the ongoing Bible work, constant support from our local SDA Mission and partnerships that take place every year which brings in church member from abroad (holding health, medical and evangelistic efforts) we are witnessing constant church planting and growth. Just last month we saw over 300 people baptized and oh how blessed we are to have these precious souls spread throughout this district!

The members never seem to complain, but many of them do express a desire to see their church completed. Whether it’s helping to dry in the building, finishing the concrete and installing doors and windows to keep out the unwanted animals, yes, you can help to make these current churches and the future one’s buildings worthy of the name “God’s house”. Thank you so much!
